Re: can you fish late at night >?????
depends on where your fishing. a lot of beaches will only fish at night but some it doesnt make a difference.
if you are heading out at night be sure to know your surroundings, if its a beach make sure you dont get caught out by water comming around you and blocking you off.
if its on rocks make sure you know the area well so you dont fall when your leaving. also on rocks, its harder to see the waves comming in that can sweep you out so its more dangerous than a beach. a life vest or floatation suit is a must in the dark for rocks.
get yourself a decent headlamp and have a spare set of batteries with you, and if possible a spare headset too just in case.
if you do go out enjoy yourself but more importantly. BE SAFE
its worth noting too that some places will fish better nearer low water than high.

Explain to your wife that its like a 90% off sale in penneys at 5 in the morn
bad weather is in for us though sadly tomorrow night/ sunday morning
Fisherman's prayer:
God grant that I may live to fish, For another rainy day.
But when my final cast is made, I then most humbly pray.
When nestled in your landing net, As I lay peacefully asleep.
You'll smile at me and judge, That I'm "good enough to keep"!

If the state of tide (high or low) you want to fish is 4:50 am, the same state of tide would have been @ 4:30 pm in the afternnon & 5:40 the next afternoon??? You get your darkness then also, and you'll be back at a reasonable hour ??

Hey bokofinn, when I first saw your thread I thought that some 14 year old posted something cuz parent's don't let him go.
Dude, you should sort that out with your woman before you married her

Re: can you fish late at night >?????
Woman are a we bit slow on the uptake, always think the worst of us. Just make sure you stink of fish on your return, thats easy with cutting bait etc, and get into bed without washing hands. That will do the trick although there will be an almighty row and you turfed out of bed. Soon she will learn to trust you.
The best fishing can be at night with fish coming very close to shore in very shallow water so fish a rod very close in and one at distance to maximise your chances. Always say where your goin and when you'll be back and fish in company if poss. In addition to headlight warm clothing etc it is a good idea to take along warm drinks. It is colder at night and always seems coldest between 3 to 5 when the body is tired, these will help warm you and keep you alert. Welcome to night fishing and tight lines.
