Antrim Coast 28-10-09

#1 Post by round_ourway »

People:Me & Eddie

Duration:8.00pm - 11.30pm

Tide: HW@7.00pm

Weather:Flat calm, 16c

Bait:Mackerel, Sandeel, Blueys

Rigs:Pulley Rigs mostly

Results: Coalfish, Codling, Dogfish, Pouting, Whiting

Report:

I phoned eddie and he suggested to head out fishing. so he picked me about and we were at the wee mark in about an hour. The place was flat calm with no wind and 16c. Not a bad night for the end of the october.
Fishing at range all night there was plenty of fish about. I did loose a decent fish which bit into the pouting and left a fairly decent teeth/mouth mark across the body. At a guess I reckon possibly a huss of about 8lb. I got the fish out of the water but spat the pouting out halfway out of the water.
It was a decent nights fishing but not as good as millisle!!

Good Haul guys. Seems to be a fair amount around at the minute. Any size to the Cod?

Unlucky with the monster mate... always next time.

There was no real size to the codling. not even 1/2 lb.
I'm going to set up a hair rig and see if I can get the big one on the new zzippy. Ive promised myself not to open it until christmas day... how sad am I lol.
