Fished Wicklow pier from 8pm until 11pm using sand eel for bait friday last. Had bites on every cast but were small whiting on the whole biggest fish 11 inchs. When they calmed down I got a few dogs, small codling and a pouting. Happy enough to add pout and codling to the species list for the year.
BTW I was told by several sources the Arklow beachs are fishing very well at the moment with plenty of plaice showing.
