Breakaway impacts unclipping
Sometimes when using the off the ground cast with clipped rigs using impact leads and srt springs the bottom hook unclips when the lead is on the ground before the cast. Basically when the leads lies flat on the ground the rig body is at an angle to it. This problem doesn't happen with gemini rig clips as they are on the rig body. Any ideas?

not to sound smart but you should try to learn the aerialised 'off the ground cast'. it saves so much hassle and isn't too difficult to learn. you are basically using an layback swing to put the lead into the same position as with the off the ground except a few feet up in the air. it's quicker too. 3 hooks clipped and ready to go unclipping before you cast will drive you mad!
