peeler on the hook

whats the best way to put peeler on the hook, ive been taking the outer shell off and wraping with bait elastic but when i cast it out it flys off. can they be put on as they are through the shell?

Pull all the legs off .... pop the top shell off then the two sides just behind the eyes and basically anythin hard underneath workin back to its rear...... then cut in half . I normally feed hook through one end and then wrap it nice and tight , just make sure hook is well exposed . Some people dont even feed the hook through they just wrap it nice and tight it shouldn't come off . if the peeler is very big i normally cut in 3 pieces hope this helps :wink:
