eastern yoyos illegal spear fishing tramore

#1 Post by scotty »

just herd from a good source that the yoyos were seen with far too many silver fish beside tramore and that they are there regular!so keep an eye out down there, spearing aint illegal but the two fish and size law applies to them too, so if you see them and there guns are the pump up type phone the law as they are firearms!! but the rubber band ones are legal unless there being idiots with them?? and you can bet they will take all sizes and as many as they can get there hands on!

Heard only today that the same practise was being put into use ....On the grand canal for pike....
So watch out on all waters, both sea and fresh water, for chaps with fins and spear guns...

Thats a disgrace, but not surprised tbh.Unfortunately these individuals are not the only ones at this practice. There are several individuals in the cork region especially in the whitebay area carrying out this practice,i've seen one individual with a just sizeable bass. This guy even told me that he and his buddies go after flatfish in the same area by sneaking up on them and STAB them  .I would'nt approach the other type of individuals god knows what they would do to you.
