Illegal netting at Motorway foreshore Newtownabbey.

#1 Post by MARRCO7 »

I have noticed and just wondered had anyone else seen a guy setting a net on the motorway at Whitehouse Newtownabbey, he usually has a spaniel with him and is dressed in body waders, he has the net just at the low tide mark as no one can see it, i seen him yesterday morning at 8.50 has anyone else seen him its just around the area the bait is dug at near the Lagoon outflow pipes. Would anybody know who this could be reported to.

it's a job for the fisheries board, but if it was taken seriously the cops and all could become involved.......definitely ring them, but just don't get your hopes up, the supposide law inforcement are generally too scared to touch those guys, and the fisheries board find it easier to blame us, the legit anglers for salmon stocks falling. sorry for the pessimistic reply, but that kinda stuff always goes on on the shannon at limerick, and it has been reported countless times, but no one will go near the lads responsible coz they're such a shower of scum bags, cars and all have been burnt out by poachers getting their own back.....i dunno, maybe the poachers up around your parts are a little more gentlmen like and sporting!
The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
