People: Me and two other lads

Duration:3 hours

Tide:hw around 6ish

Weather:very nice

Bait:live eels

Rigs:small treble

Results:57bass from 2.5lbs to 7lbs

Report:
Havent posted in a while but we had such a session the other evening just had to put up a report. We fished a waterford mark freelining some live eels and it was constant double and treble hookups. Fishing has been steady for me all summer but this was serious sport in a short session. Was waiting for good tides, settled weather, to get fresh eels and fish em alive for a fair while but it is just soooo deadly a technique. Once again the mark was crawling with bass and some we got near enough at the rod tip when reeling in to recast. We kept a handful out of the lot. Going to stick with the plugs and flies again for the next few weeks and then back to the beaches.

John,

I don't know about records and they wouldnt interest me. Same with specimen badges for me. Thing is with live eels, we lost maybe 3 fish in total. It was constant double and treble hook ups. You put your eel on, let him swim off and you feel the tremors (panic) down the line, then wham - fish on. WInd in the fish, unhook and release and immediately same thing. It really was constant fish. Pretty much a fish a cast for everyone. If you missed a fish another one or the same one maybe was taking it as you reeled in!!!

Horrible to think of bass taking like mackerel I know
