questions about Triggerfish
just wondering has anyone caught Triggerfish in the connamara area over the last few years,i have heard of 2 being washed up on a beach near clifden 2 years ago also what bait is best and do they like beaches or rough ground or deep water marks

I caught a Triggerfish last summer in Killala bay from a boat and there was a second one caught in the same area the following week. Both fish were caught over rough ground on mackerel strip baits. I have'nt heard of any catches here this year.
2009 species: thornback ray, pollack, coalfish, red gurnard, ballan wrasse, cuckoo wrasse, garfish, whiting, lsd, bull huss, flounder, pouting.
