DODGER-Dun Laoighaire 18-9-09

Crew:Dennis & Tony

Duration:3 n a bit hours

Weather:fantastic

Bait: mack

Rigs:Cherry Poppers

Results: Dogs, Tope

What can i say talk about getting the job done,
Dennis has always said he would get me out for my first Tope and he did just that very relaxed mornings fishing got some fresh mack that was just deliverd to the ice box and met dennis around 9 got straight out to the mark and got stuck in few dogs started to show up den my reel screamed with life (Still sounds Great 8) )

I was into my first Tope 30LB god do they pull!! after 3 good runs and seeing it break the water my smile went ear to ear amazing animals dennis had him in the boat in no time too quick for me as in no time he was biting and going bonkers :mrgreen: there great after a quick pic he went back.We tryed for another while but only a few doggies showing up we had some lunch and headed back around 1...Nice one Dennis for making the effort to get me out :wink:

very nice tony, i remember my first as a kid, what a run! would love to do it again :)
a tad bigger than the hounds! :D :D
species 2009, whiting :(, three beard rockling,.shore rockling, 5 beard rockling, flounder, lesser spotted dogfish,bullhuss, dab,bass(13), more whiting : pollock,poorcod,pouting, sea trout(the dodder!)brown trout,sea scorpion,mackerel, silver eel,
topknot:), cod, conger, corkwing wrasse,smooth hound.

Brilliant catch Tony weldone! I heard Denis has the underside of his boat painted as a shoal of Mackeral that Tope just can't stay away from!! :D

The Ice Box as its called at dun laoghaire pier they sell most fish..cheaper then the frozen stuff
