Mitchell Meditteranee 392 13 ft bass rod

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Mitchell Meditteranee 392 13 ft bass rod

Just wondering if anybody has ever had the pleasure of testing one of these rods they are retailing in the states at present @$349 http://www.mitchell-fishing.co.uk/phpco ... roduct=841 ,yes it is a uk site but the only prices i can find are in dollars.
paying almost half that in henrys ,one instalement left to make and will be bringing her on her maiden voyage next week. :D

i had the 14foot match rod version of this, liked it a first, the tip broke on its maiden voyage, this was fixed and then the whole tip section snapped in half a few months later casting a 2oz lead and three small crab baits intended for flounder in kaats strand. the real seat also jammed up solid, far too finiky for my liking

Holy **** thats made my day,I hope you got your money refunded.Saw these in a magazine recently got a great review???
Did the tip break with a fish hooked and what about when the rod snapped.I heard the tip action on these are sensitive but that takes the mickey altogether :? :o

i worked in the shop where i bought it, so i got something sorted for it, first time the tip eye broke while reeling in a plain rig, second time was when i casted out, if you ever need a butt or mid section, give us a shout :D

Will keep that in mind :lol: Mines a 2 piece rod so probably still no use if the butt end snaps i,ll call ya.I ,m still very much so looking forward to this rod ,After all it was recommended and sold to me by tha man himself Henry.Maybe your just a bit rough Eric and a needs a little touch of finesse :wink:

The use of the word 'exigent' inthat add makes no sense at all :?

Yeah i agree paddy over-stretching the vocabulary with sophisticated words like Exigent which simply just means demanding why couldn,t they have just stuck that one in.Thx for the feedback
