Holiday Insurance

Anybody any experience with getting holiday insurance for overseas angling holidays ?heading to norway in may and not sure weather to go for a specialist sports insurance or just go with normal holiday insurance .
any suggestion's anyone ?

Hi Ronald,
Go for normal insurance, but make it clear to them what you will be up to.
They are generally obliging.

you're goin to Norway you lucky sod! what will you be fishin for?? i plan to do a bit over there some day myself. i'd love to know how you get on!!

Cheers guys ,hoping to get a few of those big cod you always read about ,from what i can gather from the company we're heading out with the smaller halibut (30/40 kg) :lol: are around from may time as well ,we're taking the self drive boat option so bit worried in case anything happens and insurance company trys to wriggle out , i might go for a company i've used before for biking holidays cos they cover extreme sports for around 30 quid a week ,so angling should be pretty far down the scale !

you are covered with most normal cover anyway ronald, check out tescos cover have a quick look through it online its pretty good cover.
