dacron braid how good is it

dacron braid how good is it

i got dacron in the states i loaded it onto my multi and used it with jw down in cork. it didnt catch much tide just wondering what is the differance between it and braid and what is it used for cheers gar

Dacron is generally thicker than the current super braids as it's actually got a hollow core. It was mainly used for big game fishing where tide cutting properties are not important but lack of stretch is. Used in the bigger diameters to make wind on leaders. New braids are much more efficient.
