the dollier, the northside, well scary :(

#1 Post by eric »

People: the dodger and meself, later joined by the dfella and the species hunter

Duration: a while

Tide: on the flood

Weather: breezy

Bait: rag, maddies, lug and crab

Rigs: flappers

Results: eels, flounday and mysterious silver sea tigers

Report:
decided to fish dollymount for the first time ever yesterday with rodger, after collecting around 60 rag, 30 lug and a few maddies in 20 minutes, we headed over the mark. we where greated with a nice rolling surf, flappers where lobbed into the inviting surf and it wasnt long for rodger to get his first bite. a good rattle had rodger into a sizable bass and after a short fight the fish got off :x the weed began to consume the beach and after another 20 minutes of being raped by the wind we decided to get the fukc  we moved up to the north bull wall and fished into the liffey side of it with not much in the way of hope. straight away i got a nice bite, soon afterwards a nicely formed eel was swung over the rocks, another bite for me had me into another bass, only a little one by the feel of things but it too got off. some pikee with a cap and another rough looking sort of chap turnt up, turnt out to be dfella and boycie. rodger and i breathed sigh of relief. rodger went on a rampage soon afterwards catching tw fine 3lb bass in two casts and a sucsession of small flats. the fella managed a fine 35cm flounder which was dulley dispatched for tea on my behalf. fine oul night good craic was had by all, pics up later

always found killiney fished best when its calm. try white rock over high water, fish into rocks with fresh crab on a running ledger.
