Do bass Jump?

#1 Post by marno »

Saw some fish jumping clean ot of the water very close to shore, in an area full of Mullett on the east coast and not too far from bass marks. The area looks what is regarede as bassy I suppose (not too well up on Bass I am afraid). I thought they were S.Trout but I got a bit of a look as one cleared the water and it was more stubby that the Trout.

I used to see them regularly jump at the back of the east and west piers Dun Laoghaoire very close in but that was years ago.
Also they used to be about the 6lb+ mark never caught any though and always just one jumping at a time.
