Waterville and surrounding area

#1 Post by blaker »

Hi all,

Long time since I posted/actually fished. Hope all are well.

Anyway, for the first time in a very long time I'm getting fishing. Myself and the ould lad are heading to Waterville, mainly to fish Currane for trout. However we will certainly be bringing all the sea gear too.

So basically I'm looking for a steer. Could anybody in the know give me some info on specific marks in the area, how they are fishing, when to fish them and how to fish them?

I'm unlikely to be down in the area again and all info will be kept wholly confidential.

Any help would be very gratefully received gents.

Id say when your down there drop into Kevin Brain (kbfishingireland.co.uk) for some bait or a bit of gear and he'll guide you in the right direction. He's just written a book on fishing the south Kerry coast as well which is very good by all accounts.

Good Luck!

Lads,

Many thanks for the above and the couple of PMs. I'll let you know how we get on.
