just reading daire's post re congers and have been looking to do a bit of conger fishing again,
any marks to recommend?
my old haunt was roadstone, arklow.
some spots were useless but others produced serious congers.
can't wait to go again, maybe somewhere around dublin.
i have one or two in mind.

species 2009, whiting 
, three beard rockling,.shore rockling, 5 beard rockling, flounder, lesser spotted dogfish,bullhuss, dab,bass(13), more whiting : pollock,poorcod,pouting, sea trout(the dodder!)brown trout,sea scorpion,mackerel, silver eel,
topknot:), cod, conger, corkwing wrasse,smooth hound.

back of the west pier dun laoighaire, at the first elbow, coalimore harbour just down the side, sorento rocks, bray harbour, wicklow harbour,
you find it handy enough to hook up in these places, and of course old pier by arklow roadstone

ya could give howth a bash for them but dun laoighaire west pier would be a better spot!
even greystones north beach used to throw up some nice sized congers! im 100% positive them rocks between the north and south beach would throw a decent sized conger!!
