bigkev,
Check out Ferry Point, near Querrin, Clare side of Shannon Estuary.
Some shore competitions are held in this area and ray are caught.
We have launched a small boat here and taken Thornies mid channel. Problem here is a drop of about 2 ft. from end of road to get onto rocky shore. Help needed to launch as it is not a job for one! We build a ramp with stones!

Also, Querrin Pier but it drains out fast and you have to launch with the tide(and return!). Access is easy to the LHS of pier when there is water!
Corliss Point the next Light after Querrin Light (RHS) fishes well for good
Huss and Thornies. Tie a well loaded rubby dubby bag to the anchor chain! You will draw LSD's of course but also bigger stuff!
Bass also fall to Dexter Wedges at both marks.

Good luck!

Ross
