Wexford 8/8/09

People:Tony, drummer and me

Duration:7 till 2:30

Tide:Rising then dropping

Weather:mild evening, light breaze

Bait:lug, rag, crab, mack, sandeel, squid

Rigs:pully rigs and 2 and 3 hook flappers

Results:Bass 7 to 60cms, flounders and doggies




Report:we decided to head for wexford this evening as none of us had fished there in about a month.After a bbq in my house we went down to a mark we hoped would give us a few smoothies or bass, and for the first few hours things looked bad with only 1 flounder to show for our efforts.Then at dusk are fortunes changed and i landed a 33cm bass and a flounder and this started a couple of hours of frantic fishing with some nice sized bass landed.Tony caught the first 2 and then drummer got his only bass of the night, and shortly after i got a 60 cm bass on lug on a pully rig.Tony was on fire and got another 2 good sized fish one was 55cm and 1 was 57 cm although drummer reeled in tonys rod with one of the fish while tony went back to his van.We also got a few flounder all about the 25cm mark and drummer got the only dog of the night.Even though we didnt get any hounds it was still a very enjoyable session and hope to get down to wexford again soon.As usual tony will add the pics
