Plugs for bass?

Maybe this is covered somewhere else but i couldnt find it anyone point me in the direction of some good surface and sub surface plugs for bass, costing between 10 and 20 euro, i havent used many plugs so none of these feed shallows until i learn how to work them properly??

Hi, those feed shallows are very easy to fish with,just vary your retrieve speed.Another good shallow diver is storm jointed thunderstick and you can get one for 10e or so.

An inexpensive surface lure is the Storm Chugbug...very effective. Also, the Aile Magnet Sliders. Shallow runners, and within your budget, are the Angel Kiss and Maria Chase. Also, as mentioned above, the Jointed Thunderstick. For deeper divers, try the Aile Magnet Floaters, the Rapala J-13's, Slivers, and Husky Jerks (J14's).

For surface Lucky Craft Sammy 110, Yo Zuri Hydro Popper (9 cm) and Lucky Craft Gunnish/Gunfish 115 . The Sammy for the walk-the-dog (I got my first ever bass with one of these); make the Yo Zuri pop with variable retrieve speed/rod jerks and several-second stops (5-10); the Gunnish/Gunfish is something in between the other two.

For sub-surface try the Lucky Craft Flashminnow (110). Retrieve VERY slowly and I mean VERY slowly: 2-3 slow turns, stop for a few seconds (they will suspend in mid water), slight rod tip jerk, another couple of turns and so on. Make each cast-retrieve process last a couple of minutes. It's a killer plug that will catch you many fish including pollack.

They should all be within your budget but look out for second hand Japanese plugs on eBay for reduced prices. I'd choose "natural" colours like mackerel or silver with dark backs. And change the trebles in the Lucky Crafts.
