How bait correctly

Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me the proper method to tie rag and razzors as baits.
With the live rag i normally just thread them through the hook and then tie them with fishing cottong to keep them in place but they always seems to slide down the hook and die. Am i doing this correctly?

I haven't used razzor fish as bait before but will be using them this thursday when i go fishing in Courtmacsherry. how do you tie the bait for razzor fish?

any help on this would be appreciated.

Morning Dean

With Rag I would just thread a few of them onto the hook and slide one or two up onto the snood line also.

With Razor I usually lightly wrap it with elastic thread into a sausage shape before threading it on the hook, thread on hook pushing the top part of the razor over the top of the hook onto snood if it is a big bait, another few turns of the thread on it again while in place to secure it on the hook.
