My wife and I are still relatively new to sea fishing, just started this year. We have had really valuable advice form all of you guys and now need some further advice on rods.
When we started we knew nothing and saw some rods in a sale which seemed a good price. However now we have been fishing for about 6 months we realise we have not got the best rods for the fishing we are doing. We usually use lures and feathers and so we are casting and retrieving an awful lot. What we have discovered is that the rods are really too big and heavy resulting in very painful shoulders the next day

After a couple of hours we are knackered.
We don't know anything about rod types or makes and so wondered if you could point us in the right direction. Is there a particular 'type' of rod we should look at? What make of rod without being too expensive ? - we don't have deep pockets. What sort of length would be best? Single handed or double handed ?
We would be really grateful for any pointers.
Thanks a million.
