Ward town beach

Hi Marrco7

I see you were fishing Wardtown Beach, Can be a difficult place to get to.
Like all venues it can be fantastic or rubbish. Where I fish it is near the Big Black rock, If you want to dig bait, go to the beach throught the Manor House Caravan park. This is around the cornor from Rossnowlagh. There you can dig Blow lug. Tip those with a bit of mackerel. If there are any Flounder there they will take. Another reason for the lack of fish is that they are just returning from spawing.

Why not try Rossnowlagh in the same area, you usually can fish from the boot of your car. Try the end under the smugglers creak.
I fished it to-day 2 hrs 1pm to 3pm. Incoming tide, Bait frozen mackerel and sand eel. Caught 4 nice flounder. I am a fair weather fisherman the rain drove me off.
