poolbeg harbour saturday night no bass

#1 Post by scotty »

Tried my great fishing skills in poolbeg last night for a bass on a lure! as there was a couple of posts on here of people catching them??? , a big fat blankety blank again  , all i could see swimming about were the usual mullet, seen a load of lads who had blanked fishing for mackerel earlier and lads in the evening fishing for smoothies, seen the porpoises in close as the sun went down by the swimming bit ? could have been after bass as its a bit shallow and late for makerel, i took my son out on a little dinghy at the end of balscadan /howth right at the back for some bashing on thursday and they were nearly jumping in the boat, biggest ive ever seen massive!!! but its not a bass or a smoothie as thats what im after, but at least i caught something unlike the past 50+ times ive been out for the unicornes of the sea !!! (bass)
