I would like to try using soft plastic lures and jigheads for bass fishing at some point but I've never tries these before. Can anyone point in direction of how to rig these, choose jigheads and fish with them?
When using these types of lure would you expect to lose many if you are retrieving them over medium / slightly rocky ground? Also, would there a limit to the number of times you can use a scented lure before it loses its appeal?

Re: Soft Plastic Lures for Bass?
In France the lads use shads. Didn't get out much there on my holidays but had a 3lber on a 4 inch self weighted storm shad. The trick is to jerk them on the retrieve using braid, kind of like walking the dog with poppers.

Re: Soft Plastic Lures for Bass?
Over the last few years I've seen English anglers using soft plastics imported from the US (lunker city & basspro) to deadly effect. However, there is great stuff now from Japan available and can be sourced from Padge73.
