Duration: 9.00pm - 1.00am

Tide: HT @ 2.00am

Weather: Sunny & Calm

Bait: MAckerel, Squid & sandeel

Rigs: Pulley Rigs

Results: Dogfish & Huss




Report:

I got a text from eddie asking did want a chance at a huss. You dont have to ask me twice. So I managed to get the wee man babysat at short notice and off I went to the mark. I had been informed that some massive huss had been lifted here recently. Eddie arrived as I was setting up. he was quickly into dogfish. Eddie informed me that the gully was about 100 yards out. I needed to get the baits smaller and abit more 'technique'. I reckon I must have looked like a robot on steroids.
My first fish was a small huss. Delighted to get one to add to the 09 species list.
With the time approaching 1.00am and eddie losing his rig we decided to call it a night.

I havent been on many trips this year that pan out exactly the way they are planned so a wee confidence booster was precisely what I needed.

Bid well done on getting the target species. I have been fairly confined this year so I know what its like wanting to make every trip out count. And I bet the smile on your face stayed put all next day.
