the safe, rosslare

#1 Post by daithi »

how do folks?

i'm fishing here in a couple of days with a few lads from work. just wondering what are the best baits to use in the area.
we're fishing during the day. fished there once before and it was all doggies, so i'm thinking mackerel and sandeel.
any of the local lads have any info?

thanks

Are you fishing from the breakwater?

The place is littered with pots now, its a tackle grave yard.

i was down there after mullet last week. Plenty around but no joy. There were a few lads catchin doggies on mackerel alright but nothin else that day. Saw a huge conger lost in a competition last summer during the day so might be worth a crack at night for them if you were interested.
