Report:Finally got my boat into the water. Headed for Cable Island which is normally quite good. Only managed 3 mackerel. So we moved to another reef and just caught a few small pollock. Unfortunately, somebody had "borrowed" my mooring and I was under pressure to get back in and move the boat concerned. So we decided to try nearer shore and went to Calaso Bay. As usual it was full of Mackerel and we got some very nice pollock with 200M of shore .

Met Gavin who told me about the Youghal comp. Unfortunately, I had to work the next morning before heading out to catch bass.

This is a very hard life !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you fish your own boat Barry?
Was it geared more for charters? Was it a species hunt?

I'd say that Sunday was not pretty!

well jim yeah fished my own boat it was not a species competition and fish sizes where well to high and there was a intersepter 28 in the small boats ????great fishing sat had around 14 species in boat but only a few were in size sunday was a wash out we where called in then told we could stay inside the harbour were fishing was s$$t so packet up.coaster on my boat came 3rd over all in small boats .thay called out top ten down too 140 points i had 214 points and didnt get called out??????good fishing and a new area got from going down the weekend with good slip so ill be back
