I need to catch a bass..

Last year my friend and I went out every second weekend up till January to try catch a bass but had no joy we caught a lot of other types of fish.
So this year im off to try again...so if any of you guys could point me towards a good spot south Dublin to Wicklow that might help me out and I’d be grateful. I got myself a better rod and i should be able to cast out alot further i'm going to use big cocktail crab and rag baits as Ive been advised..

Sounds like you may have been casting over the fish, many a good bass has been caught in close. But it does depend on the venue of course.

Plenty of bass around the south dublin to wicklow area, so if your fishing these areas regularly enough, it wont be long before you get a few fish.
