Few Hounds (at last)

People: Myself & Drummer

Duration:8-1am

Tide:rising

Weather:cloudy but warm

Bait:crab,mac,rag

Rigs:Pulleys, 2 hook flappers

Results:Drummer-3 starry hounds 2 dogs /Me 3 starry hounds 3 dogs


Been putting in alot of work for these smooth hounds the last 3 weeks after missing my chance on Wednesday i wasn't going to give up :wink: i got a phone call of drummer he had hounds on his mind too so with a plan in mind i was on the hunt for bait found it hard to find crab on short notice but after a lot of driving and phone calls i got sorted picked drummer up and made our way to the beach we were getting set up and i cast out first the bait was only in the water less then a minute and i got a stomper of a knock i was into a nice hound drummer told me F**K off and stop messing he was still baiting up his hook :lol: ( couldn't shake a rod like that if i tried) landed it quick pic and back he went.. Drummer was next on the stage with his rod lifting off the tripod the hound decided to take him for a walk after going over my rods and giving him a great fight he landed him lovely fish must of been 6 pounds after that i got another two they didn't fight as good as the first but were bigger then the first one drummer got another one things went quite and we were thinking of packing up till drummer got a soft knock he reeled in another smut nothing else really happend after that only a few dogs..great nights fishing and well deserved

Some cracking fish there
2011 species (2) - Three Bearded Rockling, Coalfish

2010 species (8) - Coalfish, Codling, Shore Rockling, Pollack, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Poor Cod, Whiting, Pouting

2009 species (10) - Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Pouting, Coalfish, Long Spined Sea Scorpion, Shore Rockling, Codling, Haddock, Shanny, Whiting, Flounder
