Re: anyone fishing whiting bay
Hi. I lived near Whiting Bay until 18 months ago. Fished it regularly, best catch 9lb bass. At this time, it'll be very busy with trippers during the day, but it fishes best at night anyway, especially in a SW breeze. Straight out from the car park is good, to the left is better but the crabs will strip your bait in seconds. The point on the far left is a great spinning mark. If the wind is SE, fish the other (right) side of the bay. Its a long walk, best to drive over there on the road to Calliso Bay (another excellent spot). For up to date info try contacting user Ferg, he lives very close by and is extremely active on the bass front.
