Brittas Bay,Wicklow 23/06/09

[People: Myself & Dave

Duration: 19:30-00:00

Tide: HW 22:00ish!

Weather: Very calm, clear skies & mild

Bait: Rag, peeler & Mack. Lures - Kilty ,Dexter & sprat

Rigs: 2 hook flappers & running ledger

Results: Me - nada , Dave - one micro flounder

Report:

Not much to report here, except that my quest for my first bass continues. I'm starting to think that they are a mythical fish !!

Tried all baits in close and far - no joy. Also did some spinning to no avail.
Was still good to get out as it was a great evening/night weather wise.
anyone know if this beach & Ennereilly fish better on the flood or ebb?
Anyway onwards & upwards. will try a different mark next time, as I aint been having much joy down this next of the woods and I need to catch something soon or herself will
revoke my fishing pass indefinitely!

later,
Steve

There are bass around dublin for sure, but the marks tend to be very tide dependant.

I'll forward you on a few pm's I've sent to a few local lads recently with a few spots.

I'm heading up to laytown this evening with 2 others from the site if you want to join us.

I've only fished the beach 3 times last year myself and didnt get a bass, but I know lads that have done well there before so its worth a shot.
