Is this any good...?

#1 Post by dillon_the_rabbit »

Hi Guys.

I've seen a few posts on here about what sort of boat to get, and I have just got hold of a 2.7m waveline inflatable with solid floor, inflatable keel and a 5HP outboard. Its mainly for lure fishing big loughs for pike, but I am an avid sea angler, and would like to know that burning question... Would it be suitable for a bit of inshore work?

I realise it wouldn't be any good for big fish bashing, but I was hoping it would be suitable for clean ground fishing, or mackeral bashing during the summer.

Thank in advance for the advice.

cheers

i fished very sheltered water in a 3m inflatable for years but you must pick your day and be prepared for a soaking although maybe not with a 5hp O/B i used a 25hp.
oh and be carefull with the hooks........Pssssssssss not a good sound when you are a mile out
