bait pump
lads after getting a bait pump as a present for fathers day and tried to use it hopeless any advice on techniques would be welcomed and anybody in cork willing to meet up and show me how to use it .

They are only any use for Blacks I believe, wasting your time trying to pump out blow lug with it Shane.

yes only good for blacks
anything in a u shaped tube will more than likely be sliced by the device - saltydog will tell you

Great for blacks straight over the cast and hey presto easy lug...... as for the blow lug if they're fairly well dispersed you can put the bait pump in at an angle from the "blow" hole facing towards the cast and you can get lucky but TBH it's more hassle than just digging the blow lug as corbyeire pointed out you'll slice alot of them in half and if the beach is littered with cast's forget about trying to get blow lug with a bait pump as trying to match up "blow" holes with cast is something best left to contestants on the krypton factor..... find a beach with plenty of black lug and your laughing

thanks for the info the problem is a lot of the ground were you will get black lug in cork is clay or shingle ground
