I got some of the Paul Kerry bait clips from veals that can be adjusted up and down as they are held in place with silicone tube. The little rotten bottom clips can also be moved and then fixed in place.

using gemini springs under the top swivel will take the tension of the cast and minimise the snood stretch. alternatively u can use short lenghts of rig tube about 1 inch long- some rig tubes are better than others. try the silicone ones. i don't make my clip downs without either of these because like you mentioned readjustment after each cast is a real pain. particularly if it's below zero and the fish are comin in fast!

If you use a crimp to keep the bait clip in place try using a powergum knot instead then you can move the clip as required. It is also a good idea to change the hook snood after each session. What BS and type of line are you using that stretches???

I use crimps to fix the swivels in place, this will prevent any movement/slipping.

Try using Amnesia for the snoods if your snoods are stretching, I use Maxima chameleon which is great for snoods.

Also as correct mentioned the SRT spring below the swivel will also help.
