i got myself a diawa sandstorm last year, but a few months back when i tried to
take the reel off the screw section seperated from the reel seat. now whenever
i have the reel in place i have to knock it out as the seat sticks to the foot of the
reel. does anyone know if this can be fixed at a reasonable price or would it be better
to bin it?

i had a similar problem and just put a small rub of copper grease on it the reel comes of easy now
not sure if its the same problem,if the reel seat is broken may be it can be replaced by a abu grip lock reel seat or something like that

You are better of getting a new reel seat it is very easy to remove with a hacksaw just take ur time but if ur unshur just take it to any good tackle shop and they shud do it for u
