Seats available from Cork harbour THIS Saturday.

#1 Post by petekd »

Due to a low uptake in seats for our first SAI Club MA comp this year, we have a couple of seats available aboard John Boy, skippered by the gent that is Donie Geary departing from Monkstown THIS coming Saturday morning 9am. Whilst non club members will be unable to take part in the competition, you are more than welcome to come along and fish with us.

Its an ideal opportunity to have a nosey at how boat comps are run and handled for those wishing to dip their toe in in the near future and (dont kill me for saying this Mick  ) the opportunity to watch an Irish International in action.

Report from the same fixture last year is here, 14 species and over 30 fish required to win the comp on a "quiet" day in Cork....!

/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16188&p=123323&hilit=sai#p123323

Anyone interested, please PM me ASAP and seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

I am not familiar with this but both curious and interested since I haven't done boat fishing before: How much would a seat cost me?

Thanks

Hi Wabs,

Cost depends on how many we get to come along, if we fill the 8 slots expect it to be about 55-60 euro or thereabouts for the day. I am sure the skipper will be able to rent you tackle.

I am not a club member but I am interested in having a day out with Donal Geary. I would be able to travel with Mick Barry. Please let me know your decision asap.
