Silva LX II

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Hey Tony, You should have had a chat with Dennis before you splashed the cash. he was one of the first I know of to report and diagnose this issue after going through about 5 lights, I think he moved away from the silva units.

I was thinking of doing the same thing when mine broke but its there faulty goods so let them fix it there not cheap and i expected quality when spending that on a light but in all fairness they said there is a fault with the design and are going to replace it only bad thing is iv to wait 2 months!

tell them you want a replacement while your waiting or your money back.
they already admitted it was a faulty design so why should you have to go 2 months without a lamp when its their mistake??

if youve got a bit off cash i'd advice you to get a speleo nova, or get an l1, they seem to be problem free

Yip dito on the silva rechargeable,no probs with it for 12months then the 1st of its 9 lives was used.Unfortunately got sick of giving it to an electrician friend to fix and as of last month the 9th life was used up along with my patience.Needlessly to say im no longer a fan,i've gone back to my old trusty petzl SORTED.
