Ardglass Co.Down 10-05-2009

#1 Post by rab01 »

People:Myself

Duration:9.30am-2pm

Tide:Rising

Weather:Glorious sunshine

Bait:Ragworm

Rigs:Sliding float setup

Results:3 pollock, 1 wrasse, 1 codling

Report:I took the trip to my favourite fishing mark in hope of some big wrasse and pollock but unfortunately all fish bar one of the pollock were small, still good to get out and catch a few fish in lovely sunshine. Maybe leave it a few weeks and get back to this mark as it has produced some decent fish for me in the past.

There was a great big seal close by all morning Minty!! But fortunately he never got to any of my fish. Actually the most interesting thing of the day was for a great big seal to come to the surface with an Octopus wrapped round his head!! He seemed to take a few bites at it and then dropped it. You should definately fish this mark again Minty, give it a couple of weeks and the place will be full of fish.

I have to say Fergal, I never tried for the Mackerel. I'm sure you'd have a great chance for a few though.
