Wicklow mark 28/04/09

#1 Post by bigsod »

People:Tony Fella, the 2 Joe Clancys and me

Duration:6 till 11:30

Tide:rising

Weather:sunny at first light rain later

Bait:lug, rag, crab, sandeel, mack

Rigs:All sorts

Results:Flounder, whiting, 3 b rockling, dogs

After a few slow sessions i needed a few fish to get the confidence going again, so met up with tony and the two joes and fished a spot Tony got a few bass on last weekend. When we arrived the sea was flat calm so we did'nt hold much hope for bars of silver but got to work targeting flatties and met with some success. We all got a few averaging at about 25 cms and the biggest just under 30 cms, not massive fish but good craic all the same. All the flats came during daylight with darkness bringing a slow down in the amount of fish we got, for at least an hour then we started getting dogs and whiting. Nice to get a few fish after some hard grinds with little to show in the last few sessions.Tony will add a few pictures soon.

Can be so good to get out and catch a few. It's like medicine for nutters. And there is nothing wrong with some flattie bashing for it too. Nice session lads.
