Well if it's the Guillemne in Waterford then I can help ya out a bit

For the dogs there all you need are 2 hook flappers (some people but a rotten bottom on the trace but the ground isn't that bad there). Best bait is frozen sandeel by a mile for the dogs, although mackerel and squid can work well. A cast of 40-60 yards will suffice (but watch for the lobster pots in summer). You can get mackerel by spinning, feathers, floating fishing and there is also some small wrasse present there (ragworm float-fished to the rocks at the right gives the best chance). Conger can be caught directly under your feet (have seen them while snorkeling there) and I have even seen cod caught there in winter.

Fishes well at most stages of the tide although personally I think it fishes best for the first few hours of the flood. Night fishing is good too but very, very dangerous on the rocks. Also try avoid South Easterly breezes as they blow right on top of it and the swell can ruin fishing.

Oh yeah, watch for swimmers!
