la touche, greystones

#1 Post by eric »

People:myself, mb3 and eyesreily's spirit

Duration:3-8

Tide: ebbing

Weather: calm, rain at times, generaly overcast

Bait:rag, sandeel, mack and lug

Rigs:cliple downs and flappays

Results: plaice, dabs, flounder and whities

Report:
went on a plaice hunt to greystones, always seem to get a few this time of year there, so hopes where high. conditions seemes almost perfect, water clarity could have been slightly better. tide wasnt great though, would have rathered the flood. i got the only plaice, one of 30cm, on what was a pretty slow day, finished up with about 8 fish each, with mark taking the flounder. all the dabs we're small as we're the whiting. we anglers live in hope!

Well done on the plaice Eric, I think I had just arrived as you were leaving but I didn't stay very long. I just brought my Dad out for a short session and got plagued by whiting, a double shot nearly every cast with a dab and a doggie thrown in for good measure.
