thinking of fishing this area if anyone has heard anything or fished recently,or point me to a known mark thats handy , coming from dublin so dont want it to be total waste-tanx damian :wink:

The beach before the Petrol station as you drive into Spiddal from Galway will produce Flounder and Turbot and Spiddal pier is a decent mark as is Silverstrand beach in Barna, the pier in Barna doesn't produce much and is best avoided unless fishing for mackerel in late summer. You'll get doggies & flats anywhere along salthill and a few surpirses too.... if you do a search of Shore Reports for Galway you'll get plenty of info also.
