Duration:first strand 1.5 hours second 4 hours
Tide:2 hours rise and 3.5 of drop
Weather:damp and misty but not really raining nice surf
Bait:big lug ,razor,rag and cockles(and eric had some frozen sandeel hid in his waders)
Rigs:lots
Results:eric got 3 bass some likle flounder and a sandeel
my got a rockling and four bass Report:erics mark was fishless
suprise suprise 
so we packed up and gave my choice a bash things were very quiet with eric getting a few small flounder and a sandeel yes sandeel at 8 pm my belly was making some very loud grumbles so we both agreed to give it 15 more minutes and then go for grub and sure enough on came the bass 
funny how you forget your cold and hungry once a bar of silver comes out of the surf 
eric even used big hooks 
most where between 25 and 35 cm except one of erics ,both of us were unsure if it should get a wollop or go back as we both started drooling at it ,imagining those firm white fillets sizzling in the frying pan ,we could nearly smell the aroma 
we decided to toss a coin ,well a shell really dark side up and the fish swam light side up and he sizzled who won? I,l let eric tell ya seen as it was his fish eric has more pics to follow
