lecanvey 13/14-04-09

People:monday me and jason tues john me davyp and his crew

Duration:vely long time!

Tide:9.00 9.30

Weather:nice both nights

Bait:mack sandeel squid

Rigs:all types

Results:a multitude of doggies,the odd huss




Report:monday night we were set up by 8.30 nothing doing till it got dark,then the action started :D the doggies came on the feed and they were hungry :D :D it was steady fishing all night with an adverge of twenty plus each and jason got the only huss:D :D and i got one large edible crab which made a lovely supper :D :D.Tues night john wanted to go out,was a bit tired but as he is my plumber and were putting in a new central heating system i did not want to piss him off :D :D :D we were set up by nine and again nothing happened till dark and back came the doggies :roll: john was happy as its been a while since he caught anything :twisted: :twisted: so i decided to show him how it was done and landed two in quick sucession :D :D the liverpool score was the same at the time :twisted: then he got one and the compitition was on!try as he might he could not catch up :twisted: then davy from roscommon showed up with a few mates and they were soon into the action,with the young lad showing everybody how to do it as he started out with a double :shock: :shock: davy got the only huss of the night,but the craic was mighty and a good night was had by all :D

well done mate seems you had a pretty busy session and gettn the odd huss makes it more special.

great to get a few days fishing,try the dogs on 4-10lb line on spinning rods, such craic!
my fishing week was postponed again! not just timing the tide!!!!!
soon, so soon! can't wait! gonna have to fish greystones to keep me in touch with the sea! :)
looking forward to huss on light gear! and maybe another lobster! :L
gonna be in silly snake breeding season soon so i hav'ta head shortly.
i'll keep ye posted! i know yer never far from the sea!

good wee session

had a mate steve over from england, and my wee lad Owen wanted to go out, which was cool as he had been bored off fishing after a long run of blanks last year, - wanted to make sure they would catch something, so lecanvey it was,

arrived to see headlights bobbing with noel and john having already having made a good few notches in the harbour wall.

The Lads were making us look bad to start with - with a fairly steady stream of doggies, then we got into action, witht owen getting a double - and another on the 2nd rod when i was unhooking the 1st two.

pretty steady after that - with the bonus of a small huss - had these before but was good to get a definite ID from noel
( in the pick above, with evil satan eyes :D - me that is not the Huss :D )

steve from england even managed a few even tho he seemed determined to recast his bait every 30 seconds - surprised it was in the water long enough for anything to find it!

doggies all the way, apart from a mini pollack that liked the look of my mate brendans bait so much it got hooked in the eye :shock: :shock:

good to meet up with the lads - great crack

just have to get out for a session after something other than doggies now

pic 08 - above - fish had the wee funny nose flaps - nostrils didn't reach its mouth - huss in my book :D , definitly different than the 20 million doggies landed that nite :D :D

will try an get a good pic of a bigger one next time :D
