mr twister lures
hey lads just reading an article on world sea fishing bout lure fishing for cod. was talking bout a mr twister lure. i cantr get onto their site, what kinda lure is it and how big a one should i use for cod?
Adrians right it is a jellyworm have had excellent success with the red and yellow versions of these lures from the shore when fishing for pollock( have caught pollock up to 6lbs using them and have lost bigger ) and have even caucht mackerel. They are very similar to firetails except not as long they are also a lot tougher they withstand vicious takes very well

Curl tail grubs, curly tail grubs , super grubs, call them what you like, but fished on a 1oz leadhead ,or a string of 2 or 3 above a pirk , they are deadly for pollock and cod. I have 1000s of them, from 1" to 8". 8" is great for jerk baiting for pike.
They seem to last longer than jelly worms as the whole lure gets gobbled in one and you dont lose as many tail ends when a fish takes a bit short.

Hi Adrian,
I fiished them in twos one on the end and the other one on a dropper about 8 inches long about two feet up the line. my weight is generally about the same as h rocks an ounce -ounce and half!! i rarely use leadheads but strips of lead wrapped round huge swivels i then allow the lures down to the bottom and this saves money if i lose the weight. my weight is generally positioned about 2 ft up the line from the dropper..and fish
