Report:Headed down on Sunday evening to have a go for some Bass at a mark I've had previous mixed results. Had a look at the lie of the land at LW so set myself up in the pitch darkknowing I was casting close to a nice clump of rocks. Cast out at 10pm and at 10:30pm, WALLOP, a crackin bass bight and one hell of a fighter. Measured in at 42cms. 11:20, 11:45 another 2 43cms Bass. Only kept one for the pan, the others went back.
Moved a bit closer to where I parked as I was running out of bait. Then at 1:05am, I connected with a monster. The fight was awesome. Just as I was lighting him out of the water and up onto the rocks, he managed tojump off the hook. Was gutted as I only got a brief flash of silver and was keen to put a size to him based on the fierce fight.
All in all a crackin evening of Bass fishing. You gotta love those fish, definitely my favourite of all sea fish to catch....
Roll on the next full moon.
