zziplex profile and century TT LD

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

The Profile is a lovely light rod, have only wiggled the Century about in the tackle shop but it certainly feels like a nice rod, from what I have heard in casting circles the Century does not recover quite as quickly as the Zziplex so they may require a slightly different approach when casting to get the best from them for distance work but for match fishing to medium range I doubt you would even notice the difference.

Very tempted by both at the moment to be honest 8)

hi lots of crabs

i have the century TT LD paired with the abu 6500 c3 and use it for my match fishing all along the east coast on clean ground and i have to say its never let me down it great at showing bites from any small fish you may be targeting in a comp yet still has the power to handle any bigger fish you may hook in to it can wack a led of 5ozs plus bait no probs.trouble is when you use it you will find it hard to use any other rod for scratching.

Been using the TTLD for a while now and can fully recommend it, greta rod that handles a wide range of weights and applications for me here in Australia. I can use it for spinning of the beach matched to the Penn 525 mag and 75 gram metal lures for our salmon etc or just as easily put a 150 gram grip lead and decent dait out for a Gummy ( smooth hound ) or Snapper.

The low diameter makes it a pleasure to use and the gearbox design in the butt give confidence that it can launch out the heavier leads when required.

All in all a top product.
