First lure caught bass 09....
Fished two marks today with a friend, first spot has produced some nice sea trout in the last few years around this time, I fished with plugs for bass and the friend fished a kilty type lure dont know the name of it but it worked he hooked a nice sea trout on the droping tide round the 3lb mark fought like a demon he took the lure very deep and was bleeding bad so had to give him a knock on the head, dont worry had licences...
Second mark, now my secret mark
is on the copper coast lovely spot fished it for 2 hours on a rising tide, in the first few casts met a nice little bass on the maria angel kiss.... happy days nice start to the plugging season, out again 2moro

Nice catch. But I think 3lb is a bit generous on the sea-trout.
My guess would be 2 1/4lb.

Hi
Well done on the fishing. nice to see the lures working again. Down in Waterford tonight but sadly not fishing - work! Be careful with the photos, I recognise one of those marks from the rocks. Bass being so localised, you would do well to keep the background very plain - sand, weed etc. otherwise some people will be able to locate your "secret" marks without your help!

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...
2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks

I'm very used to guessing the weight of fish showing. Usually not that far off.
