Hi lads,
I'm currently in Cork (city) for training and I have my spinning rod with me.
Any advice on a mark near by would be appreciated.

Re: Near Cork - Spinning
Hello Diego,
What kind of transport do you have?
I don't think it's the best time of year for spinning, but the best chance of getting anything involves getting to deepish open water with kelp holding pollack. Not from the shore inside Cork Harbour as far as I know. Therefore a bit of travel involved.
You could use your rod to target wrasse (using a lead head hook to dangle bait off the bottom), but again it back to exposed rock marks from shore, and I'd say locally it could be a bit early in the season for them.
Mullet within Cork Harbour might be a target with your rod, but using some other setup with bread (I'm no expert on this PG I'll know something about it some day).
Hope you get something!
